Encyclical

In R.E we have been doing Key Ideas, The key ideas key ideas help us to know more about Jesus and bishop and priests. We are on Key idea 6 we are learning about Popes of our time, our task was to learn about the Encyclical and come up with some question you can ask about it you come up with 3 questions but the questions have to be 1. When or What 2. how or why 3. Could, Should, Would or is. and I found facts about the  Encyclical and some of the facts I found shocking, one of the facts that were shocking was that Pope francis only wrote 2 Encyclical. But it was really fun doing, I found out lots of cool information and facts. 

Here our my questions and answers:

The first person to write an Encyclical was 1740 and was written by Pope Benedict XIV. THe people that have written the most was Pius XII, he wrote 41 Encyclical. Pope Francis has written 2  Encyclical, They write it for the issues in the church. Now  there are over 300 Encyclical 
Questions:
1.When was the first Encyclical to be wrote?
2.why do they write then? 
3. Is there more than 100 Encyclical?
Answer: 
1.1740.
2.to talk about issues in the church. 
3.Yes there are 300.

Pirate Timeline

This past 2 weeks we have learning about pirate timelines, and the people from the centries starting from the 15th ending at the 18th, We made a timeline of the Pirates and I did what they were famous for Like Grace O'Malley she was the first girl pirate she started in the 15th.

I think that the Location has changed because now there is to much land and not sea, because they were going everywhere and theres only a few places that they go. 

PIrate Language

This Term our topic is pirates so in reading we worked on "Learn The Pirate Language". So we looked of some sites and found out how pirates speak, and all there words and there slang words some of our word were  Ahoy (Hi), Hands off My booty (Hand off my gold), Aye (Yes) and Head (Toilet). We made a slideshow of all the things you should do to sound like a pirate. I really like making the Slideshow and all the fun words they use, It was hard to find some information but we Found 2 sites that really helped.

Cipher Wheel

For this term our topic is Pirates, This week we were learning about cipher wheels and what they were used for, they were used for serect messages there are ways a cipher wheel can beused like numbers and letters, Letters and letters, letters and symbols we used letters and numbers, how you use it is you find a code like K-12  and If you want to spell Hello you would spell 
10-7-13-13 -16.  

Pleiades

In Reading we were learning about the Pleiades and how many people celebrate it in many ways, I was doing Egypt, I Learnt that Other people celebrate Matariki and they celebarte it in other ways, I enjoyed making the D.L.O but I didn't like finding the information it was really hard I couldn't find anything.

Jesus' baptism

This Week we Learnt About how Jesus got baptised by John and we had to make a newpaper clipping to show what happened and Who was there, Where it was , When it happened and Why it happened. We had another task about how Jesus shows the holy spirit and how mary knew she was having a baby.

Matariki

Today we did our Matariki work and had to make a D.L.O about Matariki So I did it on a powtoon. A powtoon is a online tool you use if you want to  make a cool slideshow I think you should use it. I have leant that matariki is the Maori's new year.
